So, scheduled and ticketed for AA1625, ORD-DFW.

Curious, it's a 788 with Int'l config up front, the
pod seats, front and rear blah, blah . . . .

So the question is this: AA surely isn't sending that airframe from ORD-DFW and back to ORD on a daily commuter jaunt. . . .

Where does that airframe for AA 1625 go from DFW? I could probably search all the crap myself, but - that's why we have this site!

The 788s are doing daily turns on DFW-ORD during the non-peak season. I've been on them a bit this winter. Only having 20J seats sucks even as an ExPlat, but when do manage to get the upgrade it's a nice quick 2 hour ride.

The sent them to LAS and CUN out of DFW this winter.

AA also uses them on DFW-SFO most days. 789s are routinely shuffled through LAX as well, but those typically continue on to Asia.

From Flightradar24

AA1625 ORD-DFW

29-Mar-19 N815AA
28-Mar-19 N810AN
27-Mar-19 N800AN
26-Mar-19 N818AL
25-Mar-19 N803AL
24-Mar-19 N810AL

Looking at N815AA, the most recent flights were:

DFW-SFO, ORD-DFW, LHR-ORD, ORD-LHR, DFW-ORD, CDG-DFW, DFW-CDG, ORD-DFW

For N810AN, its similar:

CUN-DFW, DFW-CUN, CUN-DFW, DFW-CUN, ORD-DFW, CUN-ORD, ORD-CUN, DFW-ORD, PEK-DFW, DFW-PEK, SFO-DFW

So it appears to be a mix of short domestics (utilisation/training) and then longer Internationals from major hubs.
Lovin' the smell of avgas in the morning....

Years ago, I flew DEN-SEA on United. I was expecting a B722, which is what the flight info stated during booking. I walked down the jetway and into what was the aircraft's left rear door. Seats as far as I could see. It was a B772.

I had one DFW-LAX recently and it was nice.
