Cali ATC no habla inglés - Avianca crew translates comms between diverting LH A346 and Cali ATC:
On approach to Cali ATC instructed LH-542 to hold at MANGA, the crew was unable to find the waypoint in their FMS and queried how to spell that waypoint, ATC however could not understand that request and could not spell the waypoint. ... Communication remained difficult in both directions and several transmissions needed to be retransmitted ("say again") until being understood by the respective recipient.

An Avianca Brasil ... Airbus A330-200 ... performing flight O6-852 from Sao Paulo Guarulhos,SP (Brazil) to Bogota (Colombia), also diverted to Cali due to weather, the crew heard the exchange between Cali Approach and LH-542 and began to translate between Spanish and English communicating with ATC in Spanish and then relaying the communication to the A340 in (clear) English and vice versa.

Ouch moment involving two Kenya Airways frames at NBO for maintenance:

The wording isn't great in the article, probably due to clunky translation. Both aircraft are ERJ190AR:

The plane which was undergoing engine run then, 5Y-KYR, lost the brakes and rammed on to 5Y-FFF, greatly damaging it The technician who was inside the aircraft’c cabin during the incidence steered the plane to avoid hitting the hangar and thought of sacrificing the 5Y-FFF plane.

We haven't had a Lion Air runway excursion since late 2018 but fear not, normal service has been resumed courtesy of 738 PK-LPS at PNK:
